And then, about halfway there, our car just....died. It wouldn't accelerate more than 15mph downhill and 5mph uphill. Apparently, it wasn't as excited about Ludington as we were.
We tried to be happy about it....it had died next to Country Dairy, our favorite all you can drink milk and ice cream place. They have the nicest, cleanest cows I've ever seen....it doesn't even smell like a dairy farm. We decided to just pretend we were planning to go to Country Dairy all along. So we unpacked the stroller and walked the short distance to the store.Only to find.....it was CLOSED. Man. What a bummer of a day.
Joel wasn't a fan of it being closed either. He loves their pickles.
Thankfully though, they do have slides.
So we played on the slides until Nate's grandpa came to get us and tow us home.
Joel loves slides. He's actually kind of an adrenaline junkie.
The faster, the better.
I love how his hair is blown up straight from going down the slide so fast.
So, we still had fun and some quality family time, even if it wasn't exactly what we had planned.
And the car only cost $20 to fix....just a silly plugged fuel something-er-other.
