We caught this in our garage. We're pretty sure it is what ate 3 of our kittens. Molly was NOT happy about it being back in the garage.
We fenced it in and made it run into the dog kennel.
Very effect possum-catching hubby.
It stank so bad....we might as well have had a skunk in our garage.
I did not feel sorry for it one bit when Nate shot it.
The whole evening almost felt Idahoan....almost.

365 Challenge #226
We've had a busy last few days. We finally heard baby K's heartbeat, I got the worst case of strep throat I've ever had, we found out Joel will be needing glasses (how in the world are we supposed to keep glasses on an 11mo???), and Nate has a full schedule with squash harvesting. Needless to say, I got a little behind on posting my 365, but somehow in the chaos, I did get a few pics.
This was so cute. I've been keeping the back door open to let fresh air inside (helps the morning sickness), so Joel often goes onto the back porch to play. I hadn't heard him making any noise for about 30 seconds (not usually a good sign) so I peeked out to check on him, and this is what I saw.
Joel had crawled out to Lincoln's line to say hi, and Lincoln was giving him kisses (while awkwardly straining against his leash).
It looked like they were telling stories here. Joel sat with Lincoln for about 20 minutes.
Then he caught me taking pics and came crawling back as fast as he could.

365 Challenge #225
"Can you please take my picture now? Please, please, please...."
"Maybe if we work together, we can get it upright again..."
"Nah...never mind...you set the truck up...I'm too boooooored."
"I'm so HAPPY!"
"Happy happy happy happy......."

365 Challenge #225
Trying to get him to walk to me
He was like, "It's ok...I'll just stand here for now"
Then he changed his mind and started running
I don't know how he keeps his balance...he always looks like he's about to fall forward.

365 Challenge #223
I can't believe it! Basil somehow survived in the garden! I wonder if I could transplant these to a pot and move them to the kitchen...

365 Challenge #222
Playing in the backyard....the weather has been amazing this week!
Lincoln kept getting in the way
"Can't quite get my foot over the edge...if only I could lift my leg an inch higher...."
"Oh well...I'll just pose for pics"

365 Challenge #221
How great it this?! I got the idea on Pinterest and just happened to have an old rusty grater I hadn't thrown away yet! Couple layers of spray paint, and I have the perfect free earring holder!

365 Challenge #220
I'd just like to write for a minute about how much I love our Amish store. It's just 3 miles away and SO cheap. I got all of this for $23.61. You have to shop carefully though, as a lot of the groceries in the store are expired (I don't mind buying a box of cereal that expired last month.....but you can find cereal that expired FOUR years ago in there).
Here is what I spent on each item:
Farm Fresh Eggs: $1.50
Tully's Coffee: $3.29
Green Mountain Coffee: 3.29
3 Candy Bars (for when Nate calls me and asks me to bring him a snack real quick): $1.00
Milo (haven't seen this since I was in the Philippines!): $2.07
1.75 lbs Pinto Beans: $1.35
Instant Coffee (for Black Bean Brownies): $1.81
1.75 lbs Cornmeal: $0.76
2 lbs Brown Sugar: $1.49
2 lbs Hamburger: $1.79 each
2 large cans Kidney Beans: $1.39 each
1 very large can Diced Tomatoes: $0.69
I added up what I would have approximately paid for these items at full price, and I would have spent about $59.50!! Although I already shopped here quite often, this trip has convinced me to try to do the majority of my grocery shopping here. It's definitely worth the extra time spent looking at expiration dates!

365 Challenge #218
This is what happens when you try to make pizza on pregnancy brain.....you make it 3 times too big so it doesn't fit on the pizza stone. And duh...of course it isn't fitting on the stone, but you try to make it fit anyway. Silly pregnancy brain.

365 Challenge #217
Getting ready to read books
This is how he prefers to read books on my lap....facing me.
Good thing I have all his board books memorized!

365 Challenge #216
Molly loves Joel so much. I'm not sure why, because he pulls her ears, but she treats him like he's one of her own kittens.
She follows him around the house and makes "mother cat mews" at him.
Joel likes the attention
