This is what happens when you let the hamster escape.
Jonathan and Josiah took Gillian's hamster downstairs. He ran away from them and found a way to get into the wall. Then he tortured Benjamin for two sleepless nights by making sounds inside his walls.
Benjamin had to bash several holes in the walls of his room in order to rescue the hamster, although I'm not sure a "rescue" was his motive. Don't these pictures make him look desperate?
He had to take his bed apart too.
By the time he got the hamster out of the wall, his room was atrocious.
This is Martin the Warrior. Gillian got him for her birthday and named him after her favorite warrior mouse in the Redwall series. We weren't so sure about the name at first, but now I think it fits him. (See pictures above for proof!)
Sometimes (rarely) he bites unexpectedly. (She was trying to hold him still for the picture.)
But, she loves her hamster.
