Beauty in the dryness.
This summer has been the dryest summer in 25 years in Michigan. We don't water our grass, and I've never seen it get brown...even in the middle of winter, it's still green under the snow. Until now....now it's brown and crispy. It has been hard for the farmers....working long hours digging new wells searching for water, irrigating the dying plants. And no matter how much you irrigate, it isn't the same as rain....REAL water. It reminds me how great God is....how if He didn't provide the rain....we would cease to exist.
Then Joel picked it.
"Look mom! FWOWER!"

Update: since writing this post, it has rained....enough to maybe make things green again.
