One of my 3rd trimester nesting projects. We were repainting the guest bathroom (see that nasty yellowing by the ceiling?), and everything in this bathroom was silver....except the light fixtures. I didn't really feel like buying and reinstalling a new silver light fixture, but I also didn't like the gold.
So, pinterest to the rescue!
I taped everything, rubbed the metal with steel wool, and used a silver spray paint ($3 leftover from a Christmas project). It took two coats.
And tada! Silver :) Now I just need to finish getting the other two light bulbs :P

365 #365
I wish I had some amazing, artistic photo for the last 365, but, I don't. I just have more of Joel. That is the way life has been lately....I'm just happy if I can capture a few memories a week.
Nate's mom has mono and has had a fever for 3 weeks (I feel horrible for her and hope I never catch mono...it seems like such an awful disease). So, some of Joel's uncles and aunt came over for an afternoon and had a blast watching "Tangled". Joel doesn't usually like movies at all, but he was highly entertained by the other 3's laughing and comments about the movie.
Painting for the first time
This was a HUGE hit!
It kept him occupied for over 20 minutes (which equals a huge success in my mind)
We will be painting again soon!
This red color fascinated him.
So he used it a lot

This was after his eye surgery. He was SO happy to be home after spending 8 hours at the hospital. The surgery went really well, and he doesn't need glasses for now. His eyes are much straighter, and they will be reassessing in 3 months.
This was morning after surgery. He was very happy and acted like he hadn't even had surgery the day before. He loved his balloon and wouldn't stay still long enough for a picture.
Oh well....blurry pictures are good too....right?

Life and 365 #363
So, the last few weeks have been pretty busy for us. Joel had eye surgery on both eyes to correct his "lazy eye". I've been feeling the crunch time of: "waaaaaaah............I ONLY have 6 more weeks to prepare before baby gets here!!!" (This, combined with 3rd trimester nesting, has been intense!) Thankfully, I have a very sweet husband who has helped me paint our kitchen and 2 bath rooms, put in new flooring, deep clean, make freezer foods, hang pictures, etc. Also, my midwife is in New Zealand for 3 weeks, and I've been covering call for her home birth practice. She promised that I probably "wouldn't even get a call, much less a birth". Hmph. I'm only halfway through the 3 weeks and already I've dealt with severe preeclampsia (transport, induction, tiny baby that needs checked daily, etc.), pneumonia, lost lab paperwork, about 30 phone calls, etc. It has made me very thankful that I don't have my own full-time practice right now! Anyway, all that to say: even though I only needed 3 more pictures to finish my 365 project, I haven't been able to post any in weeks! I'm finally finishing up and SO excited!!
