Bearly Escaped
If you ever happen to run across a bear, you can either run away or climb a tree or roll up in a ball and pretend that you're dead (like any good survival book would tell you to do) or... you could chase IT up a tree. 
At least that's what my three younger siblings, Isaac, Benjamin, and Hannah did. 
This bear got lucky... 
If it had been next week... 
It would have been bear hunting season...

Funny! I think I would have died with a bear in our yard (or anywhere on our property) How did they chase it up the tree?? The picture of Josiah is just sooooo cute! (though, like Jordan said- a little freaky:) His birthday is around this time, isn't it?
By next week, there will be no bears to speak of...

Yes... as crazy as it sounds, they actually chased the bear a few hundred yards before it went into a tree (they said they wanted a "better look"). The bear was maybe a bit bigger than all three of them combined (and would have been twice that size if things had gone sour). On my part, I would never chase a bear up a tree, but I am happy to blog about it.
And yes, Eden, Josiah's birthday was just a few days ago.
