Takin' on the Mountain

Team Relay...six runners...34.3 miles in the blazing mountain sun...3992 feet of vertical gain...sounds like the perfect challenge for the Siblings United!

Start: Clock Tower in Riverfront Park, Spokane, WA

At the starting line. Yikes! I'm in the Land of Giants. If you can't see me, it's because I'm...well...short.

I know it looks like I'm floating above the pavement, but it certainly never felt like it.

Jacob's run was supposed to be all flat. . .

. . . but it doesn't look very flat to us.

We cheer for Taylor.

Micah takes off!

He really is floating--check out that stride!

Benjamin had one of the steepest runs. See the runner way behind him?

Isaac crosses the finish line.

Here we are looking not quite as chipper as we did at the beginning of the race. . .

. . . but we had awesome cheerleaders.

Finish: Summit of Mt. Spokane

We spent Saturday morning running this race and placed 7th out of 17 ACOGON (any age, any number, any gender) teams. Total time running: 4 hours and 57 minutes. Will we run it again? I don't know, maybe. We'll think about it...after our blisters heal.
